We are finally making progress...

The past week has been very productive in the baby preparation department. Since October Jordan and I have had a very dear friend living with us. This friend was in a bad situation, and we were more than happy to help him out. Of course, at this time we had no clue that we were pregnant. Well once we found out we would be needing the guest room for a nursery we had to tell our roomie that he couldn't stay forever, but we didn't mind him staying long enough to get back on his feet. Last week he surprised me with the news that he signed a lease, and will be leaving us Friday. Of couse I was excited, because this means I can start on my nursery, but then reality hit. 1. I love our roomie, and I will honestly miss having him at our home. 2. I actually had to pick out bedding and paint.
If you know my father in law you know that when Daddy Gist makes up his mind it is time to do something we are doing it! When we told him the nursery would be empty this weekend he was like ok I'll be over Saturday to start painting! I was like WHOA I don't have bedding!!!! or paint!!!! So he said ok what about Sunday lol. I said, give me a week. Bless him! He is so wonderful! He is actually too wonderful! So last night I told Daddy Gist I will give him 24 hr. notice once I pick up the paint. I did decide on bedding! And lucky for Daddy Gist the bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids and they tell me what color paint to use! I couldn't ever decide on my own I don't think. So here is a look at the bedding.
We will be using the paint color from the first picture. It is Benjamin Moore Bleeker Beige. I am going to get a sample of it and make sure I like it in person, but I think I will love it. Our crib is cherry so I just really think it will look great! I am super excited. This makes it all more real. We will also be using the red, white, and blue curtains from the first picture to tie the room together.

In other baby news my little monkey has a real name!!!! His name hasn't changed in almost a week now, and I actually call him by it sometimes. I usually just call him monkey though. I actuall call all the kids monkey so it is just a habit. His name will officially be Seth David Gist. I am still paranoid that I will want to change it when I see him, but I don't think I really will. I just felt like I have always wanted my child to be named after my Grampa, and even though Seth wasn't a name I always wanted to use it just feels right. I can't wait to tell my Gram the name. I am going to wait and tell her in person. It has hard to talk to her on the phone, because of her dementia and hearing issues. I also feel like if this little boy grows up to be half the man that his namesakes are then he will be a great man! He is definately named after two of the greatest men I have ever known, and that just makes my heart happy. Of course it also makes me cry lol. I cry at everything though!
