Random Updates

This is going to be a random update.

First I will begin with the yard sale. We had a GREAT sale!!! We sold everything except four small boxes of clothes, which we donated to Loaves and Fishes. Our total sale for the yard sale day was $450 and we sold an additional $175 in furniture before the yard sale! So I think we did a great job! Of course this was split between three families. I do wish all of it went into my pocket :).

We had a great Easter. This was a very emotional Easter for me. The sermon just spoke straight to me and made me realize how great our God is, and how lucky we are to be able to put our full trust in him. I find this so comforting right now as we prepare to welcome our little one. Jordan and I cooked for his family, and my brother and his family. Since MiMi is till on vacation until the 23rd of May it was strange having a holiday without her. I have some sweet pictures of Emma, Alex, and Sam playing in their precious Easter attire. I will try to post them soon.

Jordan and I are still budget crazy! This month though I actually didn't do a formal budget, and I have realized it really does help me not to worry about money when I know we have already told our money where it is going. I just sat down and balanced the checkbook for the first time all month ( I was terrified we wouldn't have any money), but we have money! We are making great progress in changing the way we live. We have started couponing and just looking for good deals. I also consolidated my graduate school loans so maybe that will help some on the ammount of money going towards student loans each month. I really don't think I will ever pay them all off!

We got Seth's furniture arranged! Jordan had placed all of the furniture how he wanted it weeks ago, but I, of course, didn't like it. Well after an hour of him moving it and moving it I had to admit, that Jordan had it in the correct place the entire time. So he moved it back to where he had it originally! We also raided Hobby Lobby for some of the cute sports wall hangings. We plan to hang them this week. My sweet Janna is going to pick up the nursery bedding that my Mom ordered for us and bring it to me in two weeks for my shower! I am so excited to see it in person!!! After that his room will be almost done. I still want a rug (I have an iron burn mark in the carpet), and a new ceiling fan, but I don't know if we will do those before he is born or not. Just have to see how the funds play out. Well that is all the randomness for now :)

Love all these updates! I'm so happy the yard sale went well, and I am so excited that you have got the nursery just about ready!! I can just see you directing Jordan to push all that furniture around! HA! And he had it right all along. ;) So funny.

So excited to meet little Seth. AND I want to see nursery pictures SOON!
