Animal Crackers in my Soup...

As a child I LOVED Shirley Temple. I mean any movie she was in I knew every word!!! Her and Elvis were definitely my first loves. This year Emma took ballet and her recital song was from one of my favorite Shirley Temple movies. So, of course I pulled out my collection of DVD's so Emma could see where the song came from months ago, and we practiced her lyrics. Her Mom says Emma makes the entire class sing the song.

Lucky for us Emma's group was the third to dance, and they let us pick her up afterward. I have to admit that I cried when she came out. She is just growing up too fast! Plus I was nearly 32 weeks pregnant that weekend. She did great to only be two years old. She was a little star struck when she first came on stage, but she quickly warmed up to the large crowd at the civic center.

Emma thought these flowers were too heavy, and she wanted me to carry them for her.Finally we got a semi-decent picture of the three of us.
