Baby Showers

Starting at the end of May we began having baby showers. We have some of the greatest friends in the whole world, and I have realized just how important each of them are to me in the past year.

Here is a picture of some of our hostesses. I wish I had more pictures of the guests, but right now I don't. The three of us in the middle are all pregnant. Lisa had baby Corinne two weeks ago, and Janna will have baby Andrew for my 5 year wedding anniversary gift :) jk she is due on my anniversary though so I pretend that he is my gift.

The girls made this super cute diaper cake to go with the shower theme.
And of course we had YUMMY cupcakes! These are so cute, and I think they would be perfect in a few years for Seth's baseball team party.
We also dined on yummy hot-dogs (which is something I crave even when I am not pregnant) and hamburgers along with all the traditional summer time cookout fix-ins.

Two weeks later we had our family shower in the parlor at our church.Savannah and I were relaxing waiting to eat some yummy food.
My sister made a diaper cake to help decorate. Savannah picked out all the stuff on it, and Vicki put it together.
The food table! This just makes me want to have the shower all over again!
Mom and I got these hydrangea at the farmers market the day before. They stayed pretty for a week. I love hydrangea, and dream of the day when I have multiple bushes in my yard.
Yummy cupcakes with little baby booties.
Mimi made a baby buggy out of watermelon.
Nana made yummy cucumber sandwiches! They were SOO good. I want one right now.
The next day my company had a baby shower for us. For this shower we went with Whole Hog Express BBQ. It was FABULOUS! Since my sister was in town she came and brought my girls to the shower.

Gosh don't we all look alike! Well we need to die Emma's hair and make her eyes squint.

My coworkers are the best! They really outdid themselves with this shower. I wish I had a picture of the entire room to show you all the decor. There was something on every table.

Wendie even made this super cute elephant cake!

After all of these showers we are now ready for baby Seth's arrival. I took off work for my stay-cation after these and we worked in the nursery all week. We got everything organized and ready to go. Vicki and I even found a little time to shop and go to Legends for lunch one day with Mom. It was nice just the three of us without any kids. This was the first time that has happened in eleven years, and probably the last for another twenty five!
