Tonight I called my Gram to tell her my good news. Gram's first question was "Is it a boy?!?!" LOL I told her we didn't know and wouldn't know until February. Sweet Gram is 94 years old. While I am SO happy that I can share this with her even if it is long distance I find myself longing to tell my Grampa. This month will be four years since he passed away, and I still miss him everyday. However, last month my Mom called one day and told me that she wanted to get rid of her recliner. This recliner is very very old, but I wanted it! You see this recliner is the one my Grampa rocked me in all those years ago. We have recovered it since the gorgeous golden yellow from the 70's, but I am sooo thankful that I have this chair. I placed it in the bedroom at my house that I always knew would be my nursery even though I had no clue I was pregnant. I will have it recovered once again when I find out the gender of the baby to match the nursery. So tonight as I think about my Grampa I look forward to telling my baby about him and singing the song he always sang to me. Also, we have decided on a baby girl name and 99% a boy name. Either gender the child will have my Grampa's middle name as their middle name :) My Grampa's middle name was Rayson so we are now calling the baby "Baby Ray" we like this better than "Baby Gist". If we have a girl we will change the middle name to Rae, but if it is a boy we will use Rayson.
